Mr Moussally is an online tuition platform built around a community of hand-picked, UK-qualified teachers. Every teacher is a practising secondary-school teacher, personally selected and approved by Mr Moussally — an Edexcel examiner who marks real exam papers. He sets the quality standard; the teachers teach to it. Lessons are live and online, for families in the UAE and the UK.

Book the free 20-minute call. It is a Zoom call with Mr Moussally: you tell him about your child, he tells you honestly what he would do, and walks you through the platform. Your child sets up their own account on the call. If you would rather explore first, you can create a free account and use the revision notes and past-paper practice straight away.

Once you have chosen a teacher, you can book a free 15-minute taster with them before paying for anything. It is a short meet-the-teacher conversation and a taste of how they explain things — not a full lesson. No card details are taken and nothing is charged.

Each teacher sets their own availability, and you see it live on their profile in your own time zone — so a UK family and a UAE family both see the right clock. Pick a slot that suits you and book it directly. If nothing fits, mention it on the consultation call and Mr Moussally will arrange something.

Yes. The platform is time-zone aware: every lesson time on the platform is shown in the time zone of the person looking at it, so nobody has to convert. Teachers are based in both the UK and the UAE, so evening slots exist for both markets.

A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and somewhere quiet. Lessons run over a video-call link that the teacher provides — your child clicks it from their dashboard. A pen and paper beside the screen helps for working through questions.

Maths, the sciences and English. Maths is the flagship subject, with the most teachers and the most free content. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English are taught by teachers recruited to exactly the same standard.

IGCSE (Cambridge, Edexcel and Oxford AQA), GCSE (Edexcel and AQA), A-level (Edexcel and AQA), IB, Key Stage 3 and Primary. Your child registers with their exact qualification, level and board, so their scheme of work matches the specification they will sit.

They are equivalent qualifications at the same level. GCSE is the version sat in UK schools; IGCSE is the international version, most common in international schools in the UAE. The content overlaps heavily, but the papers, mark schemes and question styles differ by board — which is why your child is taught to their own board, not a generic syllabus.

Look at a recent mock or past paper: Edexcel IGCSE Maths papers carry the code 4MA1, Cambridge IGCSE Maths 0580, Edexcel GCSE Maths 1MA1. The school’s exams office or subject teacher will confirm it in a sentence. If you are unsure, tell us on the consultation call and we will work it out with you.

Yes. Foundation tier tops out at grade 5, Higher goes to grade 9, and the topics and question difficulty differ. Your child’s scheme of work on the platform follows the tier they are registered for, and their teacher will tell you honestly if a change of tier would serve them better.

Yes. Years 7–9 are taught in Maths, the sciences and English — in the sciences as a dedicated Key Stage 3 track, in Maths as the early years of the GCSE or IGCSE pathway. Primary Maths (Years 1–6) is also available for children who need a strong foundation before secondary school.

Yes — he is an Edexcel examiner and marks real Edexcel Maths papers. That is the whole claim: he is not a senior examiner, does not set standards for the board, and has no access to live or confidential exam material. The platform is his independent educational community and is not endorsed by Edexcel or Pearson.

No. Examiners mark papers after students have sat them; they never see a paper in advance. What examining does teach is exactly how marks are awarded and lost — which working earns method marks, which shortcuts cost them, and what a mark scheme is really looking for. That is what every lesson and every free note is built around.

No. Mr Moussally is the examiner who sets the platform’s quality standard. Every teacher is qualified, practising, and personally vetted by him — but not every teacher is an examiner themselves.

Every teacher holds a UK teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, BEd or equivalent) and is currently teaching in a school. They provide two references — ideally a current or recent line manager — and hold a current criminal-record check before their first lesson: an Enhanced DBS in the UK, or the equivalent police-clearance certificate in their country of residence. Mr Moussally reviews every application personally, and nobody is listed until he has approved them.

Yes. Browse the teacher profiles, book a free taster with the one you like, and go from there. If the fit is not right, email us and we will help you move to another teacher. Your child’s progress record stays with them, so the new teacher can see exactly what has been covered.

Both. Private 1-to-1 lessons are booked directly from a teacher’s calendar. Group courses are small — typically up to six students — structured around a syllabus, and run for a set number of sessions. Many families use a weekly course through the exam year and add 1-to-1 for a specific weak topic.

It depends on the child. 1-to-1 is best for targeting specific gaps at your child’s own pace, or for a student who goes quiet in a group. A small group suits a student who is broadly on track and benefits from hearing how others approach a question — and it costs less per lesson. Either way every student is tracked individually, topic by topic. Mr Moussally will give you a straight recommendation on the consultation call.

Private lessons are usually 60 minutes; some families arrange 90-minute or two-hour sessions with their teacher, and the length is agreed and shown before you pay. Course sessions have their length set on the course page.

For most students, one lesson a week per subject is right through Year 10 and the first part of Year 11. In the final two to three months before the exams, many move to two a week to work through past papers. A student who is well behind may need more for a short burst to close the gaps, then settle back to weekly.

Year 10 is ideal: two years of content, time to fix weak foundations and build exam technique gradually. Starting in Year 11 is common and still very worthwhile — the focus shifts to finding gaps from the mocks, exam technique and past-paper practice. Whenever you start, the first thing your teacher does is find out exactly where your child is.

The teacher works through the topic step by step, then your child practises real exam-style questions with the teacher watching how they work — because how marks are awarded is the point. Every lesson ends with what to remember and the common mistake to avoid. Afterwards the teacher logs the topic covered, the homework set and any resources used, and you can see all of it in the parent portal.

That depends on the teacher — this is a marketplace of independent teachers, and each sets their own approach to recording and to a parent being present. Many are happy for a parent to sit in, especially for younger children; ask on the free taster and the teacher will tell you what they do. Whatever the answer, every lesson is logged on the platform afterwards — topic, homework, resources — so you always see what was covered.

Yes. Teachers set homework after most lessons — often a worksheet matched to the topic just taught — and it appears on your child’s dashboard and in your parent portal. Your child ticks it off when done, and the teacher checks it at the start of the next lesson.

For a private lesson, cancel 24 hours or more ahead for a full automatic refund; inside 24 hours the lesson is charged. For a group course, a missed session is not refunded — but it is not lost either. The topic is recorded as missed on your child’s progress map so you and the teacher can see the gap, and it is picked up in a recap.

You can see for yourself. The parent portal shows every topic in your child’s specification, colour-coded as covered, in progress or not yet started, plus the homework set, the resources used and any topic your child has flagged as difficult. After each lesson you receive a short summary email. Nothing depends on asking your child how it went.

Yes. A clean, printable progress report is available from the portal at any time — a summary of what has been covered, what is in progress and what is still to come. Parents use it for their own records or to share with the school.

Yes. Add every child to one parent account, each with their own subjects, sessions and progress map.

Yes. Students have their own dashboard showing their next lesson, their homework, their progress map, and the free notes and practice questions. You see everything from the parent side; they see what they need to get on with.

Each teacher sets their own rate, and every price is shown on the teacher’s profile or the course page before you book — there are no hidden fees and no joining fee. Prices are in pounds sterling; if you are in the UAE the approximate amount in dirhams is shown alongside.

Prices are set in GBP. If you are in the UAE, you are charged in AED at the live exchange rate, and the approximate AED amount is shown before you pay. Everyone else is charged in GBP. All prices include VAT where applicable.

For a private lesson, your saved card is charged 24 hours before each session — never earlier. For a group course, you pay when you enrol. The taster is free and nothing is taken.

By card, securely, through the platform. You add a card once when you make your first booking; it is stored by our payment provider, not by us, and used for the lessons you have booked.

Cancel 24 hours or more before the session for a full automatic refund to your original payment method — no questions asked. Inside 24 hours, the session is charged as normal. If the teacher cancels, you receive a full automatic refund and the option to reschedule at no cost.

No. You book the lessons or the course you want and pay for those. There is no monthly subscription and no long-term contract — the revision notes and past-paper practice stay free whether or not you ever book a lesson.

No — all revision notes and The Exam Room past-paper practice are free, forever, with a free account. No subscription, no card required.

Yes. Many students do. Create a free account, choose the qualification and board, and the notes and practice questions are there. If you later decide a teacher would help, the consultation is free too.

Every teacher holds a current criminal-record check (an Enhanced DBS in the UK, or the equivalent certificate abroad) before their first lesson, and is a practising school teacher working under their school’s safeguarding duties every day. Lessons are booked, logged and paid through the platform, so there is a record of every session. Any concern, email us directly and Mr Moussally will deal with it personally.

No. Mr Moussally is an Edexcel examiner — he marks real Edexcel Maths papers — but the platform is his independent educational community. It is not an official Edexcel or Pearson product and does not speak for the exam board.

The platform is operated by Learning Bridge LTD, registered in England and Wales, and handles personal data under UK GDPR. Parents and students manage their own accounts, and we only collect what is needed to run the lessons and show you progress. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Once approved, you set your own rates and availability, and the platform handles booking, payment, the parent portal and the admin.

Nothing for your own students. Most teachers who tutor already have students of their own: invite them onto the platform, run their lessons here with the Free option, and use the scheme of work, the lesson log, the resources and the parent portal — we take nothing on them. Commission applies only to students the platform brings you, and that rate is agreed with you individually and stated in your Tutor Agreement before you teach. You set your own prices; you are paid in GBP by bank transfer, and your Finance page shows every figure.
